Kernel Update Cider

A foundational upgrade to your favorite cider, smooth and essential for optimal performance.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Apple Brandy or Calvados
  • 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz Cardamom Syrup (make simple syrup infused with crushed cardamom pods)
  • Top with Warm or Chilled Apple Cider
  • Garnish: Cinnamon stick and a thin lemon wheel
  • Ice (if serving chilled)

Instructions:

  1. If serving warm: Combine apple brandy, lemon juice, and cardamom syrup in a heat-proof mug. Top with warm apple cider and stir.
  2. If serving chilled: Combine apple brandy, lemon juice, and cardamom syrup in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Top with chilled apple cider.
  3. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and lemon wheel.
